HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Independent Study/Correspondence Courses

Units earned through Independent Study or online instructional programs outside the 澳门开奖网 and/or through correspondence schools shall be credited on an 澳门开奖网 transcript as earned, providing the granting agency is accredited by an institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education such as WASC. Requests require聽prior approval by the principal or designee through the "" form.

The courses applied will be limited to courses that help a student fulfill minimum graduation requirements, College and Career Readiness Indicators, A-G requirements, or NCAA requirements. The award of credit on a transcript shall be on a pass/fail basis only. The number of concurrently earned credits in this category recognized by 澳门开奖网 towards graduation shall be limited to 10 units per year with a maximum of 40 to be recorded on a student's official high school transcript.聽 Letter grades as earned will be posted in they are from an accredited institution.聽 Honors points from these outside institutions will not be posted.

Private World聽Language Courses

Under the provisions of the Education Code (51243), districts are required to give credit for world聽language courses conducted by private schools where the instruction is equivalent.

For each such course, an evaluation of the private program shall be made, and if appropriate, the credit for private instruction procedures shall be followed.

Assuming the program is judged to be equivalent, units in multiples of 5 (one semester of credit) not to exceed 10 (one year of credit) will be issued.聽 The list of approved private world language programs can be accessed on the 澳门开奖网 website at: /world-languages.

Students requesting credit should obtain prior approval by the principal or designee through the "Request for Alternative Course Credit" form.聽 A pass/fail grade will be recorded unless the granting agency is accredited by an institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education such as WASC.聽

Irvine Adult Diploma

Students, age 18 or older, who are enrolled in a program at Creekside Education Center, may earn an Irvine Adult Diploma through the 澳门开奖网. The Irvine Adult Diploma requirements are the same as the standard district diploma with the exception that the Irvine Adult diploma requires a total of 195 credits and 20 fewer elective credits.

Notifications

Requirements for graduation and specified alternative means for completing the prescribed course of study shall be made available to students, parents/guardians, and the public. (Education Code 51225.3)

Information about district high school graduation requirements and how each requirement satisfies or does not satisfy the subject matter requirements for admission to the California State University and the University of California.

A complete list of career technical education courses offered by the district that satisfy the subject matter requirements for admission to the California State University and University of California, and which of the specific college admission requirements these courses satisfy.
